Last week my mum and I went to London for a few days and got to spend some quality time together. I was mostly excited to get away from my weekly University routine for a while because I definitely needed a break, and some time away always makes me feel better and somehow gives me more motivation for when I come back.
Even though it was only for a few days, I loved spending time alone with my mum and we also visited some places that we had never been to before. We walked around Kensington Gardens and also visited Harrods. I had been to Harrods once before but only when I was very young, so it was amazing to go round all the stands and shops. We also spent some time at Covent Garden which was lovely as always. I love all the cute and unique items you can find there and there were also many talented musicians around the whole place. We ate at some amazing places, including Burger and Lobster, and also Jamie's Italian which were both incredible. Of course we also went to many shops, especially in Oxford Street, and did a bit (a lot) of damage to our bank accounts. I'm extremely happy with all the items I bought, both makeup and clothes, and I might actually write up a post on what I bought later on :)
The highlight of the trip for me was definitely going to Kensington Gardens and finding the Peter Pan statue. I have loved Peter Pan for as long as I can remember and I cannot explain how magical this felt and how happy I was to be there. Overall it was a very well-needed and fun trip and it really brightened up my mood. I feel like you can never really go wrong with visiting London, so until next time!

As you can tell, this post is something a little different than what I usually do. I was nominated for the Liebster Award by Home At Five (@homeat5 - twitter) and I would like to say thank you so much because I really appreciate it! The Liebster Award is basically a great and fun opportunity for bloggers to get more recognition and also to get to know each other better.
So let's get started!
1. Where is your most favourite place in the world?
I'd probably have to say that it's the Riviera beach in Malta. Being there immediately makes me feel relaxed and stress-free, especially when there are barely any people there.
2. How long have you been blogging for?
I have been blogging for 2 years now!
3. Do you have instagram and what's your username? (So we can give you a follow)
My instagram is @saraah.ann and I have been beyond obsessed with it lately.
4. Why did you decide to start your blog?
I've always been interested in sharing content online and being more involved in a community, and I absolutely love taking photos so I thought a blog was perfect for me.
5. Who is your role model and why?
My role model has to be Sophia Bush - apart from the fact that she played my favourite TV series character ever (Brooke Davis in One Tree Hill), she is such a strong and inspiring woman. She is so down to earth and tries so hard to make the world a better place, and she really stands up for what she believes in.
6. Do you prefer to watch TV or read a book?
Realistically, I spend way more time watching TV than reading books. However, I am a book lover and I wish that I dedicated more time to them.
7. If money was no object, what would you do all day?
I would probably go out with my best friends for an amazing brunch, and then spend the rest of the day chilling somewhere with my boyfriend. Very simple haha.
8. Who would you want with you if you were stranded on a deserted island?
Jake for sure (my boyfriend)
9. How would your friends describe you?
Probably as a bit weird, very relaxed, peaceful and kind (and 5sos obsessed)
10. What one thing would you change if you had to do it over?
I would have definitely worked harder in my previous years at sixth form and University.
11. What is your dream career?
I would love to do anything which involves helping other people. My aim is to help people with mental issues which are not given as much importance as they should be. My dream would also be to write a book but that's not too realistic for me.
I hope you enjoyed my answers! Now here are my nominations and questions.

3. What is your favourite form of social media?
4. What types of blog posts do you enjoy reading the most? (beauty, fashion etc.)
5. Would you rather travel to the past or the future?

This is basically everything that's usually in my makeup bag at the moment. I don't use this makeup on a daily basis as I barely put on any makeup during the week, however it is what I use on the weekends and for any occasions I may have. I didn't include any eye shadow palettes because they vary depending on the look I'm going for. However I have been using the Too Faced Chocolate Bar a lot recently and I absolutely love it! I also didn't include any makeup brushes, but I use a mixture of Real Techniques and Zoeva brushes, and also my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge.
The products below are my main face products, which are:
♥ No7 Stay Perfect Shine Free Primer
♥ NARS Sheer Glow Foundation - Mont Blanc
♥ Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - Fair 01
♥ NYX Wonder Stick - Light/Medium
♥ Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder - Transparent 001
These products are what I use when it comes to bronzer, blusher, and highlight:
♥ Rimmel Natural Bronzer - Sun Bronze 022
♥ Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder - 52
♥ Sleek Blush Palette - Lace
♥ Nars Illuminator - Copacabana
And finally, these are the products I use for my eyes, eyebrows, and lips:
♥ Urban Decay Eye shadow Primer Potion - Original
♥ Benefit They're Real Push-up Gel Eyeliner - Black
♥ No7 Stay Perfect Amazing eye pencil - Brown
♥ Dior Diorshow Mascara
♥ Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz - Ebony
♥ Benefit High Brow Eyebrow Highlighter Pencil
♥ Mac Matte Lipstick - Velvet Teddy
(I obviously don't always use the same lipstick but this is the colour I usually pick up, and most of my other lipsticks are MAC ones too!)

This month I spent most of my time locked up inside, which I didn't really mind to be honest. It probably shows through my favourites with the lack of beauty products and with the fact that I actually read a book (which I want to start doing way more often). I'm slightly in shock that February is already over, but not gonna lie, I'm quite happy about it - I'm in desperate need for summer to start! Anyway, let's get started...
Beauty:
My favourite product this month has been one that I'm sure everyone has already heard of before, but I've never actually got around to trying it. It is the NARS Illuminator and I got mine in the shade Copacabana. I've had my eye on this for such a long time but it is quite pricey so I always kept back from buying it. However, this month my beloved NARS foundation finished and I desperately needed to purchase a new one. There is nowhere in my country which sells NARS products so I had to use the online store, and I was going to end up paying a ridiculous price for shipping unless I spent more money on products; so I took the opportunity and finally got my hands on the illuminator. I love the fact that it is a liquid product as it gives my face a very healthy glow. I do think that it is worth the money, especially since you can use such little product and the effect will still be amazing. I found that it is very long lasting, it was still perfectly visible on my face after a night out clubbing so that's obviously amazing. There are a few other shades but I think that this shade suits my skin tone the most and it is my preferred shade for highlighters too. I just love this product to bits and to be honest, I just cannot wait to use it in summer!
Youtube:
Without a doubt my favourite youtuber this month has been Sophie Foster. I actually discovered her videos this month because Eve Bennett mentioned her eyeliner skills and I had never heard of her before, so I decided to go check out her videos. I find it fairly hard to find new youtubers who I love and would actually keep watching, but I instantly loved Sophie's videos and knew that I would become a very loyal subscriber haha. I think it's mostly because she likes many of the same things that I do, whether it's music, clothes, series, movies, and just most things to be honest (mainly 5sos - that kind of won me over). I especially love her makeup videos; her makeup always looks flawless, and Eve was right when she spoke about her amazing eyeliner skills haha. Overall she just seems like a very sweet girl and I just really enjoy watching her videos. So if you haven't heard of her before, I suggest that you go check her out :)
Book:
Being an English student at University means that I have to read a wide range of books, some of which are more interesting than others. This semester I have a study unit called 'Children's Literature' and one of the reading requirements was the book Noughts & Crosses by Malorie Blackman. I had never actually heard of this book before, but our lecturer read a part of it to us in class and I immediately wanted to read it. It is basically set in a dystopian world, where dark-skinned people have authority and light-skinned people used to be slaves. It focuses on a boy and a girl of different skin colours, and the struggles that they have to face because of this society they live in. I am a sucker for a good love story, but this isn't just any other romance novel. It really makes you imagine what things were like in the past, and it personally made me quite emotional to think that there were people who actually had to go through such horrible things which are portrayed in the book. It is actually a children's bestseller, which I find a bit strange considering the fact that it is quite an intense book. However, the language used is not difficult and it is quite an easy-read. I would 100% recommend this book because it is definitely one of the best books I have read in a while.
TV Show:
On a lighter note, my favourite TV series this month has been a show called Younger. I actually watched the first season of this last year and I was obsessed (I may or may not have watched the whole season in one day). This year, the second season started and it is one of the episodes I look forward to the most every week, and I watch a lot of series. It is basically about a 40 year old woman who pretends to be 26 years old, and it is just so good and so funny. All the actors in it are amazing, including Nico Tortorella who is quite gorgeous, and there's Hillary Duff too! Definitely one of my favourite shows of all time which is a big statement for me!
Movie:
On one of my many Friday nights spent inside this month, one of the movies I watched was About Time. I had been wanting to watch it for ages cause one of my friends had absolutely loved it, and I finally got a big mug of hot chocolate, got in bed and put on the movie. The main actors in it are Domhnall Gleeson and Rachel McAdams (who I absolutely love). It is about a man who can travel back in time, which comes with certain consequences, and basically just about his whole life. I cried and I laughed and overall it's just a very sweet film with a great message behind it.
Music:
Strangely enough this month there has not been one particular artist or album that I have been loving. I found that I listened to a very wide variation of music depending on my mood, mostly being 5sos, Troye, Halsey and PATD. I have actually made a Spotify playlist called 'February Favourites' which you can find here. It is a playlist full of what I've been listening to recently and includes my favourite songs of the month. I might start doing this every month (if I remember) cause I have actually found it quite convenient!
