Last Saturday my friends and I decided to spend a day in Gozo. Gozo is basically Malta's sister island, just a few minutes away by boat. It's a beautiful island full of amazing beaches and views, and it's much quieter than Malta. It's the perfect place for a little getaway, and it's usually ideal to rent a farmhouse and stay here for a few days but this time we decided to just stay for the day.

We went round a few different beaches (most of which involve a lot of walking to get to), and also stopped for lunch at a great restaurant called The Boat House. Some of the beaches we went to are Azure Window, Wied il-Ghasri and Marsalforn Bay. There were quite a lot of jellyfish which was disappointing, but we swam anyway and tried our best to keep an eye out for them - thankfully none of us got stung! At the end of the day we all got a slush or ice cream from a place near the beach, and started heading back to the cars.

It was such a great day and I'm glad we got to see so many different places that I've surprisingly never been to before, even though I've been to Gozo many times. Anyone who comes to Malta definitely has to pay a visit to Gozo while they're here!
